Our Classroom
Every classroom is unique with a very different group of students who vary in not only abilities, but also learning styles.
I hope to teach my 4th graders how to be responsible members of our classroom, school, community, and our world. When students learn how to be responsible for themselves, their actions, and their learning; they have the tools to be happy, believe in themselves, and love themselves. I hope to teach my students beyond academia to help them grow emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. I believe all my students can find success. I look forward to being on a team and working together with both my students and parents. Please always feel free to talk to me anytime you have ideas to help better your child’s education or if you have any questions or concerns.
Rules
Our classroom rules are very simple:
Homework
The purpose of homework is to give students the opportunity to practice skills and engage in critical thinking . It also allows students to work on responsibility and develop good work habits. As homework is an important part of each student's academics, it is also important that homework does not add stress to family life. If there are any questions or concerns regarding homework please contact me.
I know everyone has crazy lives and schedules, and it is often hard to fit in every little thing that needs to be done during the day. However, having students read for 20 minutes a night is important! This can be with a parents, friend, and younger or older siblings! Research has shown the many benefits of this. So make it fun, a routine, and keep our kids loving reading!
